China’s Huanghai Shipbuilding has won an order for a cargo / passenger ship from Compagnie Polynesienne de Transport Maritime (CPTM).
Newbuilding price is not revealed for the vessel to be delivered by July 2014.
Industry players say the 124-metre hull will be based on the design of a multipurpose general cargo ship with a capacity to carry 3,300 tons of cargo and 171-teu containers.
The vessel would be able to accommodate up to 300 passengers.
