The Ministry of Transport of China revealed its plan to expand state-owned fleet during the 12th five-year development project (2011-2015), on October 10. 
By organizing large-size modernized fleet during the period, China will be able to improve transportational capacity for major importing product, such as raw material, energy, etc.
The Chinese government aims to enhance domestic shipping industries' competitiveness and services in order to rise its global position.
The Ministry of Transport is to encourage restructuring and investment in R&D in related companies, as well as provide financial support.
