Following the presentation on the occasion of the 100-year anniversary from the birth of Odysseas Elytis in 2011 Conference, this year’s cultural event will be the ελculture cultural organisation presentation of two new projects related to the seaways and the Greek maritime transports. The first one is Aegenale -a cultural platform that aims to establish the Aegean Sea as a crossroad of cultures featuring actions such as the creation of an open-air gallery and the accommodation of musicians from countries of the South-East Mediterranean in the Cyclades and the islands of the North Aegean Sea.
The second project deals with the Sea Bonds. It is an artist residency program that is going to take place in professional fleets, the main objective of which is the creation of artworks inspired by seafaring. The artworks will make a tour in maritime museums across Greece as well as at the headquarters of the associate maritime company in Greece and abroad. The entire action will be documented on a high quality documentary in order to be utilized by the maritime company for the promotion of its work.
