United Arab Shipping Co (UASC) is discussing a mega-boxship newbuilding order with Korean shipbuilders.
The cash-rich Middle East carrier is planning to order a series of massive boxships of up to 20,000 teu.
A yard official said the line showed interest in newbuildings of 18,000 teu or 20,000 teu.
But the newbuilding talk is said to be at the initial stage yet.
