China's private-owned Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries is into offshore facility business as well as building high-value LNG carrier, cruise ship, etc.
On September 8, Rongsheng had a meeting with CANSI, governmental officials, classification society, banks, etc.
Chief executive Chen Qiang announced that Rongsheng is placed at the China's Top in orderbook for H1 2012, with 101 vessels of a cumulative 15m dwt and said the company will do its best for R&D.
Rongsheng has been invested CNY 330m ($52.2m). CNY 570m and CNY 680m in 2009, 2010 and 2011 each in R&D. Its investment in R&D increases every year.
Also, the China's largest shipbuilding group has successfully developed green ship. Also, it expands investment in offshore segment and it has already applied for 26 patents in China, two national patents as well as nine patents on new devices.
Rongsheng has applied for construction of large-size R&D Center for green ship and offshore segment and authorities in Jiangsu revealed its interests in strong support for Rongsheng.
