Scrapping Active in Pakistan

The highest scrap prices of last week was recorded in Pakistan, where breakers paid top rates for some large tanker tonnage.
They included the 1974-built, 32,150-ldt floating storage unit Ailsa Craig, operated by World Carrier Corp.
The FSU was reported sold for $430 per ldt, or just over $13.8m.
Cavadoro Shipping’s 1992-built, 24,323-ldt tanker Nisyros was also sold reportedly for $440 per ldt, or $10.7m.
Bangladesh breakers also splashed out on three capesize bulkers, including Tech Project’s 1990-built, 18,954-ldt Cape Madras, which was reported sold for $433 per ldt, or $8.2m.
