Bangkok-listed Thorsen Thai Agencies (TTA) has set its sights on a fleet of 30 vessels by September 2015.
Executive David Ames explains the company wants to expand from its present bulker count of 16 amid the belief its focus on Europe-US cargoes provides a buffer from the tricky market.
In an interview with Bloomberg, he said, “We’re going to continue to operate in our niche market and we’ll continue to attract cargos that not everyone can carry,” 
“We’re not going to suddenly become a capesize operator out of Australia or Brazil and into China.”
