Korean government has decided to expand the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank)'s financing by KRW 1.1trn ($960bn) to KRW 3trn for shipbuilding and plant fabrication companies, as well as provide a total of KRW 6.9trn for  small-to-medium companies' export.
The government held a contingency meeting on July 26 and confirmed on these. Korean government's decision has been made, as tightened finance by European banks would trouble Korean companies which used to depend on European banks.
Therefore, Korea would relieve Korea Eximbank's limits on credit offering for over five to six years.
Also, the bank's refund guarantee and ship financing for plant sector has been expanded to KRW 60m.
