Due to designation of North American Emission Control Area (ECA), demand for eco-friendly vessels are to increase.
Analyst Park Mu-Hyun of E*Trade Securities said, "The US Environmental Protection Agency has decided to limit sulfur emissions of those ships operating in the North American ECA, starting from August 1, 2012."
He said, "Owners will need to equip emission gas reducing facilities, which will cuase growing demand for Eco ship."
