Akdeniz Shipyard of Turkey has signed up for a new bunker tanker with Swedish owner Pallas Shipping.
Pallas has opted to return to Akdeniz to build its 1,700-dwt ship, due to be delivered in the autumn of 2013. No price was revealed.
The company said the tanker has many “eco” features, including water-lubricated and cooled propeller sleeves and a ballast water treatment system.
