Jiangsu Steamship has booked four 64,000 dwt supramax bulk carriers from Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
The newbuildings are scheduled for delivery in March, May, July and September of 2014, respectively.
Jiangsu Steamship claimed that the supramaxes will be designed for fuel efficiency, and they are estimated to consume 26.4 metric tonnes of bunker fuel a day on speed of 14.4 knots.
