Singapore owner books two multipurpose OSVs at Chinese yard
The offshore arm of Singapore’s Thong Yong Group has ordered two offshore supply vessels from China’s Jianglong Shipbuilding.
The deal for the two vessels is worth around $18.4m, with delivery set for September and December 2027.
The vessels will be designed and built in accordance with ABS standards. They will be 57.5 m long, 13.8 m wide, and have a full-load displacement of approximately 2,190 tonnes.
Equipped with bow thrusters and twin-engine, twin-propeller propulsion, it has a design speed of 12.0 knots and a range of up to 10,000 nautical miles.
The vessels will have a crew capacity of 60 people and a 300 sq m deck, making them suitable for heavy-load operations.
The OSVs are being designed for a wide range of missions, including offshore platform supply, engineering operations and maintenance, emergency rescue, and firefighting.
