Hamburg-based shipowners Peter Doehle and Bernhard Schulte said they have placed an order for ten container ships with Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
The post-Panamax vessels will have a capacity of 5,600 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU). They will operate under a ten-year charter contract with Japanese marine transport company Mitsui OSK Lines, (TYO:9104), or MOL. The daily rate has been set at just below USD 39,000 (EUR 27,000).
