It is reported that CSBC is in negotiation with Shih Wei Navigation for the construction of a 35,000dwt bulker pair. The contract is expected to be concluded by this July. CSBC is said to win an order for two same type bulkers from China Steel Express this month.
CSBC is trying to make full use of its docks at Keelung and save the purchasing costs of engines and other parts. CSBC has looked for owners who intend to book the same bulker China Steel Express orders and Shih Wei has expressed its interests and carries out negotiation.
It is said the two parties are in specific discussion about the equipments, specifications and other details. The value is rumored to be about $25m for each vessel.
The pair ordered by China Steel Express is said to be started by the end of the year and delivered by the second half of 2013.
