Hyundai Heavy Industries has won an additional shuttle tanker newbuilding order from Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers, where Japan's Nippon Yusen Kabushiki (NYK) took stakes last year.
The owner booked one firm and two optional aframax class 123,000 dwt shuttle tankers at the South Korean shipbuilder.
They are due for delivery in July 2013 and the confirmed one vessel is to be chartered out to a major energy company.
In early April, Knutsen NYK also ordered one firm plus two optional suezmax class 157,000 dwt shuttle tankers at the same yard for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Spain's Repsol is to charter the one suezmax shuttle tanker for five plus three optinal years.
