Taiwan's Wisdom Marine has ordered a pair of 74,900-dwt vessels at Sasebo Heavy Industries in Japan with delivery scheduled for February and July 2013.
Wisdom intends to operate the ships in its own fleet. The company has been rapidly building up its panamax and post-panamax fleet in recent years.
It currently has two panamaxes and four supramaxes operating, with orders for three more panamaxes at other Japanese yards. It also has four supramaxes on order.
Wisdom plans to order more bulkers in the future and is in discussions with yards such as Oshima Shipbuilding and Imabari Shipbuilding.
