STX OSV, builder of offshore and specialised vessels, secured a contact to design and construct one anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel for Iceman.
The vessel is scheduled for delivery from STX OSV Norway in mid-2013. The hull of the vessel will be delivered from STX OSV in Romania. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The vessel will be equipped for multi role operations in harsh and arctic areas, with wide beam and built according to ice class.
Iceman is an investment company under establishment by Pareto Project Finance, supported and subscribed for by a group of Norwegian and international investors.
