CSBC Five 4,500TEUs Delayed

Taiwan’s Yang Ming Marine Transport recently pushed back the hand-over of five 4,500-teu containerships it has on order at CSBC.
The container line said delivery of the vessels will be delayed by between 10 and 16 months.
The ships were due to be completed this year after being ordered in 2008 for $375m en bloc.
London broker Clarksons lists a total of seven 4,500-teu vessels one 6,589-teu unit and five 8,200-teu ships on order for Yang Ming at the Taiwanese shipbuilder,
