Oman Shipping Company has contracted Hyundai Heavy Industries for building a new LNG carrier.
It says the 162,000-cbm vessel will be handed over by the world’s largest shipbuilder in 2014.
In a statement Oman Shipping does not reveal how much it will pay for the vessel, which will add to the five LNG carriers already in its fleet.
Meanwhile, HHI booked two 162,000-cbm LNGCs from European owner, one 170,000-cbm LNG-FSRU from Norway's Hoegh LNG last month while its affiliate Hyundai Samho won two 162,000-cbm LNGCs from Golar LNG in February.
