Struggling Sanko Steamship of Japan is said to have cashed in another bulker as it continues efforts to bolster its balance sheet.
Its 51,000-dwt Sanko Mineral (built 2008) has been picked up by a Greek buyer, brokers say.
Sanko, which is looking to redraw charter contracts to stem losses in a terrible market, is understood to have collected $21m from this latest deal.
A few weeks ago it waved farewell to the 53,000-dwt Sanko Galaxy (built 2005) in a trade which set a new low benchmark for such ships at $20.8m.
In December is cashed in the 56,000-dwt Sanko King (built 2008), for $26.5m to an undisclosed buyer.
