Shipping Corporation of India has sold another pair of ageing vessels as part of its fleet revamp.
The state-owned company sold the 47,304-dwt bulk carrier Pataliputra (built 1987) and chemical tanker 33,056-dwt Sabarimala (built 1992).
The Pataliputra is one of a batch of SCI's handymax bulkers built at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in the mid-1980s.
SCI offloaded three others in the series late last year with the vessels priced at around the $7m mark.
The company has ten bulker newbuildings on order, according to Clarksons data.
SCI is also awaiting delivery of a pair of VLCCs, four containerships and 14 offshore support vessels.
