Universal Shipbuilding of Japan penned additional two Towing/Salvage tugs from Singaporean Ezion Holding's affiliated shipping company.
The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Mitsui Sumitomo Bank co-financed for this recent contract, totalling $53m.
Universal had booked two same-type 200-tonnage Bollard Pull vessels from the same owner in 2011.
Recently contracted newbuildings are scheduled to be constructed at its Keihin Shipyard with deliveries in the second half of 2013.
Now Keihin yard secured a overall orders of six vessels including two AHTS vessels and four Salvage Tugs on the book, which cover its schedules until 2013.
Universal Shipbuilding plans to promote offshore vessels as its major product and target Southeast Asian market. Its Maizuru Shipyard constructs platform supply vessels.
