Nantong Xiangyu wins four ultramax orders
Chinese builder Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering received an order from domestic owner CZBank Leasing for two 63，500 dwt ultramax bulk carriers，according to Clarksons Research. Moreover，the yard received further orders from domestic owners Juhe Shipping and Guangxi Jinhang for one 63，500 dwt ultramax each. All four units are due to be delivered in 2025.
Xiangyu has been marketing its self-designed 63，500 dwt and 79，900 dwt bulk carrier models to considerable success over the past year， with both domestic and international shipping players contracting with the eastern Chinese yard.
The shipbuilder was founded in 2016， taking over the facilities of Minde Shipyard. Situated alongside the Yangtze，the yard features three slipways and one drydock. In addition to bulk carriers，Xiangyu has a track record in chemical tanker construction.
