Carras Hellas and Target Marine have penned deals with Glencore and Cargill respectively, the Baltic Exchange reports.
Glencore will hand over 11,250 daily to take the 82,000-dwt Athina Carras (built 2012) for a year.
A further annual option is attached at $12,250 daily for the ship which is set to leave Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in Korea soon.
Target Marine’s 81,500-dwt newbuilding Athanasia C has been picked up by Cargill at $11,000 daily for up to 14 months, the Baltic reports. The ship has been taken direct from SPP Shipbuilding.
