On the morning of August 31, the 2750TEU containership “LAE CHIEF” built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited was named and delivered to China Navigation Co. Pte. Ltd at the Longxue factory area.

This series of vessels is more environmental-friendly and energy-saving than the existing ones owned by shipowners and it can carry dry cargo containers, refrigerated containers and dangerous goods containers. Besides, it is 186m in length, 35.2m in width and 17.1m in depth with 8.5m of design draught. It is equipped with a slow-speed main engine, a controllable pitch propeller and a twisted rudder with bulb.
