Korea Shipbuilding Engineering Group (KSEG), Busan's group brand of marine equipment, sealed with Vietnam's ship repair yard NOSCO for $6m contract.

Busan, South Korea said that Busan and manufacturers cooperated to ink the order for equipment needed to eliminate alien substance on vessels' skin and paint steel plate.

To secure the supply contract, KSEG and Busan have provided free consulting for Vinashin Group and Vietnamese yards in crisis, held Offshore and Shipbuilding Briefing, invited Vietnam's state-owned shipbuilders and owners to Busan, etc.

KSEG and Busan now have various marketing plans to expand market and promote the brand.

Meanwhile, KSEG's eight membered companies would participate Vietnam's international exhibition on shipbuilding, marine technology and transportation VIETSHIP 2012, held from 28 Feb to 1 March in Hanoi, and have product exhibition and buyer consultation.

KSEG and Busan also plan to build up and maintain collaborative relationships with Vietnam, by having a offshore and shipbuilding seminar in Vietnam during the first half this year in cooperation with the Vietnamese government.
