Israel-based Ofer Brothers are thought to be behind a $130m boxship order at China’s Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries.
Rongsheng is said to have won a deal for two 6,600-teu ships for delivery starting in 2013.
The business is understood to have been tied up a few months ago and was not reported.
In June, the yard confirmed orders for four similar-size ships from Greek owner Dynacom and London-listed Goldenport.
Brokers suggest those vessels were booked at around $67m to $68m per vessel, including fuel-saving engines and a wide beam.
