STX OSV Holdings Limited (STX OSV), one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of offshore and specialized vessels, revealed on 12 November that it inked one arctic fisheries research vessel from Remøy Fiskeriselskap AS of Norway.
The vessel, 74m in length and 16m in breadth, is planned to be built at STX OSV's Rumanian yard for its hull, then the latter work would be done at Norway's Brattvaag yard with delivery in Q3 2013.
Meanwhile, South Korea's STX OSV ranks top in market share of over 20,000-BHP anchor handler with 43% and the second place in platform supply vessel, over 4,500 deadweight, with 20% of market share, in terms of orderbook by the end of September.
